This Sunday we covered 1 John 3:11-16. Our study centered around the idea of our source, either God or the devils (3:10). Believers operate from Go’ds source (Holy Spirit) in their lives. John’s point is while it may be hard to conceal an identity for a while, the true identity will eventually come to light. Loving one another (other brothers and sisters in Christ) is one of those evidences (3:11). The world hated Jesus and it will also hate us, so don’t be surprised (3:13). This coming Sunday we will look at the extreme to the ordinary of love.
